Conference Call
with Jeremy Ben-Ami
Elections 08
and the Peace Process:
A Conversation with J Street
~August 6, 2008~
PLEASE NOTE NEW CALL-IN NUMBERS BELOW! (as of Aug 4)
CMEP is pleased to announce that Jeremy Ben-Ami, Executive Director of
J Street, the new political arm of the pro-Israel, pro-peace
movement, will be the guest speaker for our next grassroots network
conference call on August 6th at 4pm ET. Ben-Ami will engage in
discussion about the intersection of issues related to Israel and the
peace process and the 2008 Presidential and Congressional elections.
Established in early 2008, J Street seeks to change the direction of
American policy in the Middle East and to broaden the public and policy
debate in the U.S. about the Middle East. Like CMEP and its other Jewish
as well as Arab-American allies, J Street supports meaningful U.S.
leadership to bring about a two-state solution to the
Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
This conference call is part of CMEP's campaign education and
outreach efforts, which includes a July 21st letter to Senators McCain
and Obama urging them to commit to making a two-state peace a top
priority should they become President. This conference call will be
recorded and made available on CMEP's website.
