Send Prayers
for Peace to the Holy Land This Week
~June 3, 2008~

Christians from the United States and around the world are invited to send
prayers for peace to the Holy Land. Some of these prayers will be read
during a public ceremony on June 8th convened by church-related
organizations as part of the "International
Church Action for Peace in Palestine and Israel." The ceremony will
take place in Bethlehem but the prayers will be shared with parishes,
schools and organizations in Bethlehem and Jerusalem and posted
online.
During this year of differing anniversaries and as hope for the
Annapolis peace process wanes among Israeli and Palestinian publics, your
prayers can help provide support to all the people of the Holy Land,
including the small and dwindling Palestinian Christian community, who
long for an end to decades of conflict.
